Occam's Razor
Because I'm banned from commenting there, here's my reply to a stated question here:
The simplest answer is that they're not lying, and that like other conspiracy theorists, you're so in love with your conclusion that you must find ways to contort reality to adjust it to your conclusion.
I seriously would like to see him try to hold a Worldcon. It wouldn't work, and he'd be constantly railing about how everyone else but him is an idiot for not doing what is so blindingly obvious to him, but it would be fun in a schadenfreude sort of way.
Then why does Loncon lie to us? This is perhaps the core issue I fail to grasp. Lying takes so much time.

And he moved the goalposts and you want to call that out. Fair 'nuff.
But... beyond that, do you think it's really useful to keep drawing attention to the situation? Yes, you can certainly point to some of what he's had to say as a case of privilege in action and that makes us all look bad but, well, I'm a little worried that what I've seen while linkhopping is straying near the line that lies between eyeball-rolling and vindictiveness.

But I'm on the Committed anyway. AND the hotel spread will definitely be ugly. The Party Hotel is no where near the Convention Center. And because of Big Harold, we need the hotel closest to the convention center. He was not happy that for San Antonio, I chose the hotel where all the evening events were, rather than the hotel nearest the convention center. But he did admit it was convenient for a lot of reasons, so only grumbled some.
And we won't go into how far our hotel was in Glasgow. We had to take a taxi almost every time. Walking was barely feasible.
But he sure seems to not pay attention to all the notes from the committee about when the rooms are opening up. I know it is hard, I really had to scramble for Gally, but you have to pay attention, set your alarm clock, and sign up ASAP. Everyone else is.
