With all of the other stuff that's been going on in my life, I simply haven't had time to think up new questions for Match Game SF. In the absence of people sending in new ones, I'm going to end up having to recycle many of the past few years' questions.

Remember that Match Game questions don't have a single correct answer; they have a fill-in-the-blank question where the panel fills the blank and the contestant tries to guess how the panel answered it. It's best if the question can generate a laugh. The standard example is, "The Starfleet admiral said, 'Captain Kirk has the biggest ___ in Starfleet!'"

Update, 23 June 1300: Turned comment moderation on here and on the other thread on which people have been posting questions. I'd prefer they be e-mailed to me (my lj handle @livejournal.com will work or you can LJ message me). I'll not clear posts with actual questions in them.

While I'm begging for questions, I might as well go whole-hog and ask for sponsors as well. We're a little short on prize sponsors now. BASFA has donated lots of stuff for consolation prizes in the Great BASFA Grab Bag Of Stuff, but bonus round prizes have run short. Any conventions want to donate a membership in return for advertising in the show?

While I'm looking for more Match Game questions, what I don't need are trivia questions. Remember that a MG question doesn't have a single right answer. It has a fill-in-the-blank answer where there are lots of reasonable ways to answer it, many of them funny.

Example of a bad question: "Einstein said, 'God does not play ___ with the universe.'" This is a bad question because it's a real quote and has only one right answer: "dice."

A good question looks like this: "Einstein said, 'God does not play dice with the universe; however, he does play ___ with it.'" This has no particular answer, but lots of possibilities. (We've used this question in the past, and it will likely turn up again.)
