I have fallen prey to another meme. First got it from [livejournal.com profile] fr_john, but have seen it lots of places since.

Entry Level
Congratulations! You scored 56!
You've probably worked on a couple of shows, and may be developing a specific area of expertise, such as carpentry, painting, lighting, etc. You're listening and learning about new things...keep it up! Work on more shows and pick up new tricks. And invest in a knife and Maglite--you are ready for these symbols of techdom.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 99% on techpoints

Seriously, my relatively low score reinforces why I ended up managing the people who put on the show, not doing the work myself. I have great respect for the people who "make the magic happen" and try to stay out of their way when the show is on and do what I can to support them from above during planning.

Yea, but "making the trains run on time" is a worthy contribution to the bloody show :>. I oughta know -- it's what I do for Masquerades, being only "costumer-friendly" and not a real costumer myself :>.

I agree that a Worldcon main event should start on time and I wish events like Otakon would learn to do that. I tried that test too, Kevin and I got the same score as you a 58. In 2007 or 2008, (when I go to Worldcon), I want to help out in some way to the Worldcon.
