Although I never lived there, I was born in Oroville, California, and my father lives there, or rather, he lives out in the hills east of there with an Oroville mailing address. Today's morning news brought word of a shooting incident in Oroville that happened on a Greyhound bus when the bus was making its stop in Oroville at an AM/PM mini-market. It's a pretty weird case. The shooting suspect fled the scene but was apprehended in a nearby Wal-Mart. According to the linked story, "Officials said Coleman had 'no clothing on' inside the Walmart and was acting in an 'erratic manner.'"
This shooting doesn't affect me or anyone I know personally, but hearing Oroville in the news at all on the morning news grabs my attention. I'm guessing the sheriff wishes he didn't have to do that news conference, too.
